Pilates Teacher and Personal Trainer

Originally from Sweden, I danced from a young age and was lucky that my passion for contemporary dance took me to places like Los Angeles and New York.
I started to practice Pilates with my early dance training because I wanted a stronger core and better balance. It helped me improve as a dancer and in 2009, I was accepted into the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance in New York. However, not long after I started I sustained an injury. It was then that I started using Pilates for rehabilitation. It helped me to overcome the injury and become stronger. Yet, I began to realise that it was more than just an exercise form to recover from injury and look better, but that it was a way of life; and I absolutly fell in love with it. I decided I wanted to share this with others and so I moved to London to take a year long course to become a qualified Pilates Foundation teacher. Since then, following an eagerness to learn about the body and wellbeing, I have studied nutrition, physiology and anatomy while qualifying to become a personal trainer.
I focus on the foundation of good fitness; muscle balance, core strength and the relationship between the mind and body. I do this primarily through Pilates matwork classes as well as applying this principle through personal training.
My belief is that through exercise, whether Pilates or gym, you can enable yourself to overcome the greatest of adversities and look upon life with the outlook that can make you believe you can achieve what you want to.
My philosophy for training, working out, and fitness is not just about looking great. Its about feeling great. It’s about happiness and using fitness as a way of helping you find it.
